Dear Superior Central Community,

This letter is to inform you of a recent cybersecurity incident that impacted PowerSchool, a company that provides our school district with student information management software. This incident is limited to PowerSchool with no evidence of further impact to district operations.

We understand that on December 28, 2024, PowerSchool discovered unauthorized access to certain customer data, including some information related to our school district. PowerSchool has informed us that they have taken all appropriate steps to prevent the data involved from further unauthorized access or misuse. PowerSchool is investigating and has committed to providing details regarding the impacted data. They are also providing necessary support and we are working diligently alongside them to keep apprised of their investigation.

As always, our top priority is to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff. We will share further updates as relevant information becomes available.
