We just received word from Mid Peninsula that they would like to postpone the game tonight. There are still some visibility concerns. We'll work on rescheduling. Sorry for the confusion today.

While we didn't get the huge amounts of snow that was predicted, the snow that we did get, along with the high sustained winds and greater gusts, is making visibility and travel a bit dangerous this morning. Due to these dangerous driving conditions, Superior Central will be closed today, Thursday, December 5th, 2024. A decision on the boys high school basketball games will be made by early afternoon.

Tonight's Girls' Basketball game vs. Munising has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 22nd.
Superior Central in partnership with Northern Michigan University would like to invite the Class of 2025 and their parents/guardians to a Financial Aid Information Night on Thursday, November 21st at 6:00 pm in the High School Computer Lab. Please note, this is not just an event for students planning to attend NMU, it is a service that NMU provides to local Seniors and parents.

After an investigation by the Alger County Sheriff Department and the Michigan State Police, it was determined that the alleged threat made against the school was unsubstantiated. I appreciate the quick response by law enforcement to investigate this matter. I thank you all for your patience as the investigation was taking place. We will be back to school on Monday. Tonight law enforcement and school officials were made aware of a potential threat to the school. Law enforcement is currently investigating the threat. Out of an abundance of caution, and to allow time for thorough investigation, I have decided that Superior Central will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 6th. Thank you for understanding. This past Tuesday, the Superior Central Board of Education approved the 2024-2025 Superior Central Calendar.
The Superior Central Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of the proposed 2024-2025 Public Budget Hearing. The Regular Board of Education Meeting will take place at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON
PROPOSED 2024-25 BUDGET
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on June 25, 2024, at 7 o'clock p.m., at Superior Central Library,
Eben Junction, Michigan, the Board of Education of Superior Central School District will hold a public hearing to consider the District's proposed 2024-25 budget.
The Board may not adopt its proposed 2024-25 budget until after a public hearing. A copy of the proposed 2024-25 budget, including the proposed property tax millage rate, is available for public inspection during normal business hours at Superior Central School District, Eben Junction, Michigan.
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the
proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.
This notice is given by order of the Board of Education.
